BYD E5 can be seen as the pure electric version of the Subaru, with a white decorative strip on the front to indicate its special identity as a pure electric version, and a charging port located behind the grille emblem. The length, width, and height are 4680/1765/1500mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2660mm, which is only 10mm longer than the Sagitar.

The interior basically continues the design of the Sagitar, with dark colors and silver decorations. Compared to the previously released Subaru EV at the auto show, the "running light" gear lever has been removed, and instead an electronic gear lever that can shift P with just one click has been adopted. Due to the unchanged size and structure, there is no difference in driving and riding space compared to the Speed Sharp.

The E5 adopts an electric motor with a maximum power of 160kW, a torque of 310Nm, and a maximum speed of 130km/h. The vehicle is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery pack, with a comprehensive range of up to 305km.

The size of the E5 is similar to that of the EV300, but its positioning is slightly lower. The same powertrain only differs in terms of range. And there are reports that it is more focused on the corporate and taxi markets. Considering the overall power and range, the e5 is still a good choice.
